Working from Home... A new option is on the table!

More and more of the clients and students I work with are making career choices with their life stage (and lifestyle) in mind. The working world is changing. We are demanding more flexibility from employers and we are looking for a two way negotiation on our productivity. There is a new option on the table. Working from home or 'telecommuting'. 

The figures don't lie. American Express telecommuters have been recorded as 43% more productive than their in-house colleagues. The infographic below charts the realities of working from home for employees and employers. It also provides us with some plus and minuses for making a decision as to whether or not this is an option that suits you. So, what if you know this is what needs to happen for your career work for you? Start with Adobe (Ireland), Amazon, Dell, EMC2, IBM, Kelly Services and SalesForce. They are just some of the global companies that allow telecommuting.
